Actuate IP

The Actuate IP Group is a boutique law firm specialising in the area of intellectual property law. Their services include patent & invention protection, trade mark registration, IP searches, copyright and IP dispute resolution. The Actuate IP Group provides specialist services to clients throughout the country.

Project Description:
Rather than developing a new web site from scratch, The Actuate IP Group required an overhaul of their current site. The firm had a number of specific goals in mind for their web development project:
  - A customised design to fit with their corporate branding.
  - A Content Management System (CMS) to allow regular site updates.
  - A payment system to allow clients to settle invoices online.

Each objective was fulfilled by our web development team:
Customised design:- The site was redesigned to align with corporate branding requirements. In particular, the colours of orange and grey were used heavily throughout the site to create visual consistency between the web site and the firm’s current logo (which was used heavily in offline material such as letterheads, envelopes, invoices etc). The navigational system was also reworked to provide superior information architecture.
Content management system:- The new Actuate IP Group web site was connected to a content management system to allow the firm to maintain fresh content for the site. In particular, this has allowed the firm to post regular discussion articles and case studies to their web site to display thought leadership in their field.
Payment system:- In order to decrease the administrative burden associated with invoice processing, an online payment system was established for The Actuate IP Group’s clients. Each client is provided an individual login, and can utilise the online payment system to settle invoices.

Your Service Finder is the most technically online job board in Australia. It is offer businesses to host their own website and control over their job lead.

Project Description:
The objective of the site was to build a service that help consumers to choose correct business for their request and help businesses to get more jobs. In particular, the site aimed to deliver more content and images to the businesses to make good decision about the job lead and allow consumers to give more details about their request.

This objective was achieved
  - By allowing consumers to create their own job request by choose their job categories, write short and details descriptions about their request and images upload.
  - Businesses get job leads by SMS, Email and Jobs Board
  - By allowing businesses to create a customized profile web page. This page allowed firm to contribute over 2,000 words of content relating to the areas of business, firm history, firm philosophies and client testimonials.

Your Service Finder features:
  - Consumers can post free jobs. But all jobs validate and open to businesses by Your Service Finder staffs or Your Service Finder Automated System.
  - Consumers get up to three free quotes.
  - Consumers can view businesses profile.
  - Consumers select the business to do their job.
  - Consumers able to negotiate with their selected business.
  - Consumers can post their comments and feedback.
  - Businesses request to submit their ABN or ACN to verify their business.
  - Businesses get job leads by SMS and Email.
  - Businesses able to select their services suburbs or states.
  - Businesses able view a map of each job lead location.
  - Businesses have options to accept or reject their job leads.
  - Businesses have full control over their job leads.

Consumers and Businesses features:
  - Consumers have full control over their job post and to choose a business.
  - Consumers can view businesses profile to get more information and their licenses details.
  - Consumers have option to select confident quote or public quote.
  - Businesses can build their own profile.
  - Businesses can add/edit content on their profile at any time via an administration panel – integrated Content Management System (CMS).
  - Businesses have control over their job leads.
  - Businesses can contact consumers directly.
  - Businesses able to search new job leads from Your Service Finder Jobs Board.

Additional features:
- A search facility is provided for businesses to search job leads by location & category.
- Jobs board provides options to search jobs in other locations.

Nite Guide

Nite Guide is a site dedicated specifically to Melbourne’s thriving night life. The site serves as a multi layered guide to what’s on in the city. The central service is an entertainment directory that allows users to search for venues & events based on venue type (nightclub, bar, pub), day and musical style.

Project Description:
Nite Guide was a significant e-Commerce project requiring months of web development. The objective of the site was to provide a comprehensive directory of night life information. In particular, the aim was to provide a superior search experience that allowed users to locate a venue or event matching their specific taste (Eg. A pub in Prahran that plays dance music on a Tuesday night).
The directory was complemented with other popular features within the night club demographic, including photo galleries, guest lists, discussion forums and a blog.

Nightclub promotion features:
  - An online registration form to create site membership.
  - An administration panel for nightclub owners/promoters to maintain all online content – using integrated Content Management System (CMS).
  - The ability to create multiple directory ads to promote regular themes (Eg. Monday pool competition, Tuesday karaoke night) and categories each ad independently according to variables such as venue type, day & musical style.
  - A customisable web page (accessed via the directory), hosting information such as location & contact details, a map, a venue description, a drinks list & menu, a photo gallery, a weekly schedule, upcoming events & function hire.
  - The ability to advertise special events such as live music & New Year’s Eve parties.
  - Access to publish event and venue photos directly to the image/photo gallery.
  - A guest list registry service via which venues can populate guest lists and increase attendances.
  - Statistics on the amount of traffic generated via the site.

User features:
  - A highly targeted directory service allowing users to target venues & events by location, venue type, day & musical style.
  - An online registration process allowing members access to advanced site features.
  - An online image gallery of photographs taken at various venues.
  - The ability to contact other Nite Guide member via an internal email system – integrated CMS.
  - A detailed member profile section with photo/avatar upload capabilities.
  - A member discussion forum.
